Privacy

How Interactive Studio Inc. (“we”) handles the personal data we receive through the contact form and while building your project. What we take, what we use it for, who holds it, and when it is deleted: all of it is on this page.

This is a reference translation. The Japanese version is the authoritative text. If the two differ, the Japanese version applies. Read it at プライバシーポリシー.

What we receive

Only what you give us. Fields you leave blank are not collected.

Contact form

Your name (a nickname is fine), where to reply (an email address or a handle), what you want built, and whatever you write in the message.

Your IP address and the time of sending are recorded in Cloudflare's access logs. That is for telling real messages from junk, and it is not used for anything else.

While we build

Material you send us (photographs, logos, copy, logins for an existing site), your contact details, and what we need to invoice and confirm payment.

Hosting and the domain are contracted in your name, so we do not hold your registration details with those providers. Where we sign in to a control panel to set something up, we remove the credentials from our machines afterwards.

What we will not take

Card numbers, bank passwords, government ID numbers, and anything about your health or beliefs. Do not put them in the form.

What we use it for

Nothing outside this list.

  • Replying to you and checking what you need
  • Deciding whether we can take the work, and telling you the scope and the cost
  • Building and maintaining the project
  • Invoicing and confirming payment
  • Records we are required to keep by law and for tax

What we do not do

  • Send advertising or newsletters. We do not contact you to sell you anything
  • Sell, share, or lend your data to anyone
  • Show your project as an example without your permission

AI in the build

While building, we may put the text, images, and data you send us into AI services. We only use services configured so that what we put in is not used to train the model. We do not pass your data to third parties or supply it as training data.

We ask before showing your project. Everything on our work page is there because the owner agreed to it. Saying no changes nothing about how we build or maintain your project.

Who else holds it

We run no servers of our own. These are the providers your data actually passes through.

Contact form

The form is processed on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., United States), and the email is sent through Resend (Resend, Inc., United States).

We do not store form submissions in a database. Your message is delivered to us as email and kept only in our mailbox. If you would like us to delete that email, write to us and we will.

Their privacy policies: Cloudflare, Resend.

Email

Our correspondence is stored on Resend, Inc. (United States).

Serving this site

Served from Cloudflare Pages. Access logs (IP address, time, page, browser) stay on their servers for a limited period.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and collects nothing that identifies you.

Web fonts

Type is loaded from Google Fonts, which sends your IP address to Google as the page loads.

If you would rather that did not happen, we can serve the fonts from this site instead.

These providers touch your data only as far as running the service requires. We do not pass your data to them for marketing. Some of it is stored on servers outside Japan.

Sharing with others

We do not, as a rule. Here is when we would.

We do not share your data with third parties without your consent. There are two exceptions.

  • Where a court, the police, or another public authority requires disclosure under the law
  • Where someone's life or safety is at risk and consent cannot reasonably be obtained

We do not subcontract. One person handles the conversation, the build, and the launch. There is no point at which your data goes to another builder or firm.

How long we keep it

We delete it once it is no longer needed.

Inquiries we turned down

Deleted three months after we reply.

Inquiries we could not answer

Deleted six months after they arrive.

Project records

Deleted one year after maintenance ends, along with any material you sent us.

Ask us to delete it sooner and we will do it when you tell us the project is over.

Transaction records

Invoicing and payment records are kept for seven years, as Japanese law requires. We cannot delete these on request.

Access, correction, deletion

No charge.

You can ask to see your data, correct it, stop us using it, or have it deleted. Write to support@interactive-studio.jp. We reply within two business days and act within two weeks.

Write from the address we have been corresponding on, so we can tell it is you. From a different address, we will ask you about something in the correspondence.

We cannot delete records we are required by law to keep, such as transaction records. Where that applies, we tell you what stays and why.

Cookies

This site sets none.

This site sets no cookies to show you pages, and none for advertising or tracking.

Where a project we build for you needs a login, cookies become necessary. We tell you what they are for at the design stage, and put the same explanation on your own site.

Changes and contact

Change it and we date it.

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. Where the change affects a client on maintenance, we email them as well.
